Job Description

  • Technical
o Participate in workshops, for the definition of the scope of technical activities and gathering of requirements.
o Participate in the review and assessment of the existing infrastructure.
o Prepare the testing environment infrastructure and liaise with Business as Usual (hereinafter BAU) for the preparation of the Production environment. Acting as Single Point of Contact for the entire lifecycle of any IT Change, which will be required along the duration of the project.
o Support personnel from BAU to perform all identified activities in the production environment.
o Implement remediation activities in the DEV-ENV environment whenever required.
o Support in the SCCM migration procedure and validate that the migration has been successful.
o Perform UAT testing for the core components of the End-point Management Infrastructure (i.e. SCCM Infrastructure, BitLocker Management Infrastructure, Windows Store for Business, SCCM Application Self-Service portal) and perform the Operational Acceptance with BAU. Validate that the implementation is fully adhering to the approved design.
o Prepare and perform the handover to the BAU Operations, according to the customer established practices.
o Review the technical documentation provided by other 3rd-parties involved in the Windows 10 Migration project, and ensure consistency with customer standards in terms of used template and expected quality.
o Support the 3rd-party provider in the preparation for the Windows 10 deployment. Prepare the hardware client devices for the deployment.
o Prepare applications to be installed as part of the deployment.
o Coordinate with application SMEs from the different customer Business Areas the functional testing and validation of Applications and Workspaces.
o Prepare Test Case Templates to be used by application SMEs to document the functional tests, which are executed and to report Test Case Results.
o Support the customer Project Team with the update of requirements, test plan, test cases and test case results into HP ALM solution.

  • General
o Provide information to other 3rd-parties involved in the Windows 10 Migration Project: this includes accurate, timely, and complete information.
o Provide other 3rd-parties involved in the Windows 10 Migration Project with access to key people and resources.
o Provide other 3rd-parties involved in the Windows 10 Migration Project with access to systems: this includes access to all necessary Customer work locations, networks, systems, and applications.


  • 7-10 years of experience related to end user engineering. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree
  • Experience/Knowledge of SCCM application packaging and software update deployments. Strong understanding of the mechanics and processes for developing end to end provisioning processes in SCCM including images, driver/firmware management, software deployment, and patching
  • Deep understanding of modern Windows 10 deployment concepts including Modern Servicing, Upgrade In Place (UIP), User Driven Installation (UDI), and the Microsoft Development Toolkit (MDT)
  • Experience in diagnosing complex system problems using dumps, log files, or other diagnostics tools
  • Proven experience using PowerShell or equivalent scripting tools, along with an understanding of Microsoft API’s and tool integration
  • Experience using Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO) to configure and secure endpoint configurations
  • Knowledge of standard engineering and support processes such as ITIL, life cycle management, and ITSM
  • Understanding of endpoint security principles including such as the CIS Security Baseline[1]
  • Experience delivering Windows 10 desktop experiences on VDI
  • Exposure to Windows endpoint management in an Office 365 environment
  • Knowledge of principles for providing strong customer and personal service. This includes customer needs assessment and meeting quality standards for services
  • Ability to multi-task to address multiple and often conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
